Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how LearnEdge AI collects, uses, and shares information when you use our app and related services. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the app.

Information we may collect

• Account information (optional): if you create an account, we may collect email/username and basic profile settings.
• App activity: lessons viewed, bookmarks, reading progress, preferences (e.g., topics you follow).
• Device & diagnostics: device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, performance data.
• Push notification tokens (optional): if you enable notifications, we store a device token to deliver alerts.
• Approximate location (optional): only if you enable a feature that uses it (otherwise we don’t collect it).

You can use core features without providing optional information. Some features may not work without it (e.g., sync across devices).

How we use information

• Provide and improve lessons, daily news, and app features
• Personalise content (e.g., interests/topics)
• Sync your bookmarks/progress across devices (if enabled)
• Send notifications you request (daily news/reminders)
• Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and debug issues

Sharing & third parties

We may share information in limited cases, such as:

• Service providers: hosting, analytics, crash reporting, notification delivery (only what’s needed to provide the service).
• Third-party links/content: news items may link to external sites; their privacy practices are their own.
• Legal reasons: comply with law, enforce rights, or protect safety.
• Business changes: merger, acquisition, or asset sale (you’ll be notified where required).

If you use “Sign in with Apple”, Apple may provide us details you approve (e.g., an email relay).

Data retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required by law. You can request deletion of your account data (see “Your choices”).

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

• Notifications: disable via your device settings at any time.
• Access/correction: update profile/settings inside the app (where available).
• Deletion request: contact us to delete your account and associated data, subject to legal requirements.

Children

LearnEdge AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we’ll take appropriate steps.

International users

If you use the app from outside Australia, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and may provide additional notice where required.
